As a group of hard working busy mums, we wanted a location which was comfortable, quiet, and away from it all for our girlie weekend in November. And Iona cottage ticked all those boxes and more! The cottage is absolutely immaculate, the kitchen and bathrooms sparkled, and the furnishings and décor have been very carefully chosen to create a really welcoming, homely feel to the place which envelopes you as soon as you come through the door. Armed with stacks of magazines, chocolate, crisps and wine, our first night was spent sitting by the log fire chatting away listening to the waves across the bay and just relaxing. Lured by the beach (less than fifteen yards walk from the cottage, the next day we opted for a lovely long coastal walk, a mooch about Elie’s shops, and after a pub supper we were drawn back to Iona cottage and the log fire for yet more wine and chatter.

Sad to leave, we will definitely be back as the cottage fitted the five of us perfectly. It has one double and two twin bedrooms, with a  downstairs bathroom and shower as well as another upstairs bathroom, so we each had plenty of space, and you can park directly outside so if you fancy heading out for a day trip you can load up the car with ease – perhaps we will do this next visit, or we may end up by the fire chatting again...

We had a wonderful week at Iona cottage. With lots of children it is ideally situated right next to the beach and close to the amenities in the town.  It is cosy and comfortable for those wet days too and there us so much to do within a short drive.
